Heating consumption is read from the energy company's meter and compared with the property's own previous consumption, weather-corrected with Finnish Meteorological Institute observations. Voltria's service fee is an agreed share of the savings verified this way. The rest stays with the property, every year.
Voltria procures and installs the equipment needed. The existing control system stays in place, and Voltria's control and apartment-level temperature sensors are added alongside it. The cost of the equipment is covered from the savings during the contract period, so the property needs no investment decision and no loan.
A wireless temperature sensor is installed in the apartments. Because the control sees the actual indoor temperature, it keeps the apartments at target instead of letting heating follow the outdoor temperature curve alone, and temperature swings shrink. The property's representatives see the temperatures in Voltria's portal and are notified of deviations.
Installation needs no renovation: sensors are fitted in the apartments and the control is connected to the existing controller in the heat distribution room. For the whole contract period, Voltria monitors the system remotely, maintains the equipment and reports the savings regularly.
